What Is Our Vision
The North Carolina Community of Hearts and Homes will be a master planned community that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for the disabled, chronically homeless in North Carolina. This transformative residential program will exist to love and serve our neighbors who have been living on the streets, while also empowering the surrounding community into a lifestyle of service with the homeless.
This community will be a place that enables our homeless brothers and sisters to heal. It will be a place where they can rediscover hope, renew their purpose and restore their dignity. Most importantly, it will be a place they can call home.
Some amenities we hope to include:
- An innovative mix of affordable housing options
- Places for worship, study and fellowship
- Memorial garden, columbarium and prayer labyrinth
- Medical facilities for behavioral and physical health, and other supportive services including hospice and respite care
- Companion animals and farm animals as well as veterinary care for these animals
- Walking trails
- Community garden providing fresh fruits and vegetables for residents
- Outdoor movie theater
- Community market
- Bed and breakfast for overnight visits
- WiFi
- Job opportunities
